Instead of creating a logo, this time the client wanted something even more visual. He wanted something that was bold but recognizable, that stood out all on it own. Having worked in TV News the majority of my career I knew exactly what I wanted to create to make his impression last. The familiar element of the color bars remixed and exploding out of the card. Some might think of color bars in a live tv production as a bad thing, but… the person you want to hire needs to have a plan b ready to go so that you never see them on air. The color bars also represent precise calibration and its usually the first image you see in a live feed.
